| In an update on Chris Jericho's contract status with World Wrestling Entertainment, his current deal — which was signed in 2007 — expires in a few weeks and he has yet to sign a new one. While both sides are negotiating a new deal, it is not guarantee that he will remain with the company.

| Is he still wanting to take time off to tour with his band? |

| this is all i found for it
you would assume if WWE knew he only wanted a short break for band time they would still be able to agree a deal and have Jericho sign a contract saying he returns after his break.
Kayfabe Jericho could say if he doesnt win the title he walks and returns in time for Wrestlemania to take on either Undertaker as it would be easy to set up or Orton, for maybe Orton pinning Jericho in the 6 pack challenge (not sure on the rules for it though) Jericho then returns at rumble eliminating Orton and then eliminating himself on purpose (Moonsault from turnbuckle down to Orton below or something). |

| I would love for jericho to turn up on impact. He could have some really good matches with the likes of aj styles, joe, desmond wolfe and kurt angle. though the tna bookers would end up fucking up with him. |

| He's criticised the booking of TNA on numerous occassions, so it would at least take a big shift in that respect before he'd even consider going. I think he's happy being a semi-main eventer in WWE anyway, the money's better for a start. |

Tonight on the 900th episode of RAW he cut a promo about how if he didn't with the WWE championship at Night Of Champions he would leave the business. Could this have anything to do with his expiring contract? |
